Darren Moore has been shortlisted for the PFA Player in the community award.The Macesport client has been nominated for his work in the Community for Burton Albion and his role as founder of Christian charity Faith and Football.
He said: “It’s absolutely brilliant — a real honour to be nominated in such a prestigious award. I’m really chuffed.
“Obviously, I’m well aware that a lot of players do a lot of sterling work in the community, and to get this recognition is really nice.
“It’s the other side of the game we do outside of football. I believe the football club and the players have a huge impact on the community.”
Moore has recently appeared on BBC’s Late Kick Off Midlands and has a column in the Express and Star.
