Dean Windass might have some difficulties naming the goal scorers on Soccer Saturday but he has absolutley no doubt about his favourite pie.Windass played for nine different clubs during his playing career which spanned nearly 20 years – from Hull to Aberdeen, Oxford to Darlington.
When asked about his favourite pie, in a recent interview for the Aberdeen match day magazine , it was the Pukka Pies of Bradford City that stuck out in his mind – Pukka Pies’ Chicken Balti to be precise.
In answer to a fan’s question on which of his former club sold the best pies, he said; “It would have to be Bradford.
"Gorgeous Pukka Pies, chicken balti Pukka Pies. Amazing pies – and I’ve had a few in my time!”
No doubt Dean will be enjoying a few Pukka Pies around the grounds as a media pundit these days – let’s just hope he doesn’t leave the commentary box before half time!!
